The Demon of Thunder

   On stormy nights, the elders of the village warned never to sleep outside, for the Raijū, the thunder       demon, loved to fall from the sky and rest within men’s chests, shaking them with his fury.

One night, a curious boy named Ren stayed out to watch the lightning. Suddenly, the heavens split open, and a creature of light—shaped like a wolf of blazing electricity—fell before him. The Raijū’s eyes burned like twin suns.

Ren trembled, but instead of fleeing, he bowed, offering respect. The demon, surprised, did not strike him. Instead, it left behind a spark that entered the boy’s heart. From that day on, Ren lived with a secret: whenever the sky thundered, his eyes glowed, and lightning fell wherever he looked.

Thus was born the legend of the boy who walked with thunder.
