The Rest of the Warrior with the Flowered Fan

The warrior accepted the gift. And for the first time, he laid down his sword.

Each day he sat beneath the same cherry tree, opened the flowered fan, and let the breeze carry him the scents of a life he had long forgotten. The villagers called him the warrior of the fan, and he told the children stories—not just of courage, but of peace.

When he vanished, no sword or armor remained. Only a fan, resting on a cushion of pink petals.
